The training will cover who Mandated Reporters are and their responsibilities to report child abuse and neglect. This training focuses primarily on recognizing the signs of abuse and neglect during virtual and phone visits with youth in care and their caregivers. The training will also cover the types of child abuse and neglect, accidental vs purposeful abuse and what, when and where to report abuse and neglect. Protection for reporters and penalties for failure to report.
