This training will provide an overview of factors contributing to commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) and why it is such a longstanding area of criminal activity. This training will also explore the impacts of complex trauma on the brain, body and psychological functioning and how this related to CSEC. Finally, the training will offer a foundational understanding of trauma informed care and introduce strategies for supporting and serving exploited youth.
