This training will focus on building authentic narratives and sharing in collective storytelling with youth in care. Participants will learn how to help guide the narratives of youth in care and use their own story to build on the narrative. Trainees will learn techniques to ensure a maintained boundary of self-disclosure and keep the focus on the youth and not the provider. Participants will explore how the story/narrative they have built with youth in care can be captured and expressed as collective., discuss discomforts and apprehensions around adding their personal story to the collective with youth in care., practice mapping out a story that focuses explicitly on the transformation experienced during sessions with youth in care.
