This training will focus on providing information and understanding related to the biological and psychological systems that can be utilized to tolerate emotional dysregulation for foster youth seeking mental health services to address previous traumatic experiences. Additionally, the training will also review information related to hyperarousal and hypo-arousal of the autonomic nervous system and how strategies can be implemented to support foster youth with trauma symptoms. Recent evidence-based research will be reviewed and a group discussion will be utilized to support the integration of information into the practice for those attending the seminar.
