This training is for all service provider who work with Black and Brown system involved youth and families. The facilitator will guide a discussion of how communities of color are affected at different levels by the current political climate regarding race. Information will be provided about: the elements of successful conversations about race, the importance of tracking somatic responses and creating clear intentions. The facilitator will create a safe space for providers to assess how racism is affecting them daily and how it may intersect with experiences of Black and Brown youth and families. There will be a place for Black and Brown providers to share how these conversations affect them personally in the work.
