Foster Care Training

The training will educate participants about the importance of teaching and communicating social pragmatics in a culturally competent way for system involved autistic youth. Training participants will learn strategies for responding to autistic foster youth and/or system involved youth to who may be at risk for suicide so that they can support improved outcomes for autistic system involved youth, including ways to help autistic system involved youth advocate for themselves in a healthy way. A power point presentation will accompany share lived experience by an autistic adult.
