Youth in foster care who have experienced complex trauma may demonstrate trauma reactions in the form of problem behaviors. In some cases, this can jeopardize placements with foster families. This training discusses caregiving approaches from a behavioral perspective that help caregivers to properly identify triggers for problem behaviors, and ways to set contingencies to improve youth behaviors at home. Caregivers learn positive reinforcement strategies, understand triggers and responses, and discipline approaches.
