When we experience Psychological Safety, we feel accepted, respected and supported to be honest. It is permission for candor, a space where disclosing mistakes and divergent points of view are expected and appreciated. Psychological safety can protect against emotional exhaustion, and it fosters innovation, connectedness, and teaming. Psychological Safety is built and maintained through intentional behavior and attention, and supervisors play a critical role in modeling and creating psychological safety for professionals and clients. In this webinar series, we explore what psychological safety is, why it is important, and also challenging, and learn how to create and sustain psychological safety in work with youth.
