Foster Care Training

Children are often put into care on an emergency basis and the child’s history isn’t known at the time. Children have just experienced a bewildering process and trauma. Foster parents are asked to be open to any child needing placement when information is unavailable. Thus, parent will learn how to prepare for almost anything. Trainer will discuss ways in which parents can prepare themselves for the unknown/unknowable in a calm and methodical way in order to best serve each child that comes into care.
