Foster Care Training

This course will be a two-day, comprehensive workshop for providers about positive youth sexuality. Topics covered include anatomy, terminology and slang, gender 101, working with clients who are abuse survivors, cultural competency for working with LGBTQQI2S – identified young people, youth pregnancy, and teaching and modeling healthy boundaries and communication.

Training Objectives:

• Learn how to apply a positive sexuality framework to every day interventions
• Identify ways to create and maintain safe environments for LGBTQQI2S youth, youth survivors and all youth
• Practice supporting youth in identifying and fostering healthy boundaries, communication and relationships
