Foster Care Training

Motivational Interviewing is an empowering strategy to support people to “see for themselves” how their behavior is working or not working. Our goal is to support young people to feel empowered to make good decisions for themselves and act on those decisions; to meet them where they are at and support them with appropriate levels of coaching. We will explore the uses of motivational interviewing in depth to support the formulation of “Change Talk” and response techniques to support behavior change. In depth Motivational Interviewing techniques will be shared and practiced during this interactive workshop. Prepare to be engaged with each other in practice!
