In this training, service providers will learn about who may and may not consent for foster youth services, confidentiality and privilege, and who may and may not release information about foster youth to other providers or involved individuals. Service providers will learn Mandated Reporting obligations. This training will provide a brief overview of the legal system and important pieces for service providers to know when working with youth in care who are legally involved. This training is open to providers, child welfare, and resource families. Resource families may receive a stipend for attendance.
