In this introductory course, we will examine the impact of trauma on the development of the self in relationship to life goals, hope, resiliency and persistence. We will explore creative visual and poetic means of retelling the trauma narrative towards positive life outcomes. Participants will learn and practice a sampling of creative activities relevant to both assisting youth make meaning of their chaotic experiences, and to their own lives as individuals and service providers.
