By attending this 3-hour course, attendees will have a basic understanding of the Child Welfare System (CWS) and Child Protective Services (CPS). Participants will have a basic understanding of the process of CPS once a report has been filed. Participants will have a basic understanding of timelines, expectations and guidelines when involved in the CWS. Participants will learn the reasons why questions are asked during a CPS investigation and the importance of accurate information. Participants will learn how to engage and provide support to families involved in CWS.
