In this training, participants will be review risk factors and exposure to trauma that Central American experience in their country of origin as well as while residing in the United States. Participants, initially, will review a general introduction to the Latin American population, such as differences between Latinos/Hispanics/LatinX. The diversity found throughout Latina America will be highlighted to create a foundation in exploring the trauma and challenges that are specific to Central America. Lastly, participants will identify ways to engage with LatinX families that is considered supportive and culturally responsive.
