In this training, HIFY will bring its Harm Reduction and Positive Sexuality principles to bear on a challenging and sometimes stigmatized topic: HIV and AIDS. By first grounding students in HIV/AIDS 101, including epidemiology and prevention, but then moving beyond the basics to explore the cultural, social, and political aspects of HIV, it helps participants deconstruct their own assumptions about the epidemic and try on new perspectives and attitudes. Participants will leave with fresh approaches and a new set of tools for talking about HIV, sero-status, and prevention.
