Foster Care Training

This training is an introduction to foundational understanding on family therapy using the Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) model based on the healing power of families and connection. This model is attachment focused and extremely useful for softening difficult interactions between children and their caregivers so that caregivers can become a safe base again for their children. The skills highlighted in this training center on the importance of shifting the relational patterns between caregivers and their children. Specifically, working with caregivers to act according to their caregiving values instead of their fears and worries.
