This training is part of a series of skill-based trainings on the topic of family support. This is relevant to providers responsible for providing effective support to families with children returning from, or at risk of entering, out-of-home care. In this course, participants will learn how to identify key targets for change in the family as a whole as well as the system’s individual parts. They will also be provided opportunity to practice conversational skills that will help develop alliance and get a clear picture of family needs in order to provide appropriate support. They will walk away with tools that will improve their overarching and day-to-day efforts so that support is targeted and in line with family needs and strengths.
