Engaging youth and families can present with a myriad of opportunities and challenges, especially due to dynamics that children and adolescents can have within their family systems. This training reviews some of the struggles as well as areas of possibility and opportunity that exist when collaborating with and engaging caregivers/families of adolescent foster youth. Child Welfare Professionals are encouraged to bring case examples to enrich the discussion of dynamics with youth, families, and providers.
