Foster Care Training

This training provided by former foster youth in the WCC Youth Advocate Program (YAP) will provide a unique lens from the perspective of the experience of the foster care system. Providers, social workers, and resource families attending this training will understand the importance of engaging foster youth to increase permanency, develop positive relationships, and ensure positive outcomes. Content themes presented throughout this training will include the importance of strategies of engaging youth in foster care, and promoting resilience for youth in and out of home care through involvement in services.
