In identifying needs and strengths of young children, providers often work closely with adults and assume children won’t be able to understand or participate in the process. In doing so, providers and caregivers often limit youth’s involvement in their healing process. This training will review the ways that providers can adapt conversations to better engage foster children of all developmental stages in the services.
