Foster Care Training

This training will consider the history, conceptual basis, and application of dialectical strategies and the framework’s applicability to work with foster youth. We will discuss needs that can be addressed by this approach, and consider ways to apply the approach with foster youth. Strategies for mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness will be reviewed.
