This course provides an overview of one agencies risk assessment documents and support to practice using a screening tool, assessment, safety plans. We address the importance of understanding of personal reactions to reports of suicidal/homicidal ideation. This course reviews how trauma affects the brain and reactions, signs someone is becoming triggered including the crisis cycle and how assess and respond to help prevent or de-escalate the situation.
