Foster Care Training

Crianza Con Amor (Parenting with Love) is a 1.5-hour Trauma Informed parenting workshop, which was initially developed to address the community needs of monolingual Spanish speaking caregivers. As this workshop exists in both Spanish and English, the audience can vary and is intended to reach as many caregivers, staff working with families and children, and individuals as possible.This workshop serves as an introduction to understanding how trauma and stress impact our children and our parenting.This training will address the following:Shifting our perspectives in how we see our children’s behaviors and understand children’s arousal states, Behavioral strategies we can use at home with our children, to feel safer and better in their bodies, Strategies we can use as caregivers, so we can feel better in our bodies and hearts, and so we can feel closer to our children.
