Creating Trauma Informed and Resilient Classrooms is a 2.5 – hour workshop designed for teachers, administration, staff, and providers that work with and within the school system. This workshop is an introduction to understanding how trauma, stress, and resilience impact us – individually, collectively and systemically. The training will cover the neurobiology of stress, trauma and resilience, and the impact of sociocultural trauma. Each of us, whether school staff or students, are impacted by stress and trauma, and can leverage resilience and positive relationships to heal from stress and trauma. In the training, classroom strategies for countering stress and trauma, as well as strengthening resilience will be reviewed.
