Foster Care Training

This training highlights the importance of clinical case management as an integral aspect of mental health treatment. By exploring a framework of clinical case management, the training aims to apply those concepts to providing services in the field of mental health and more specifically in conjunction with therapy services. Special attention is given to the unique evolution of clinical case management at WCC, a mental health agency, historically offering primarily therapy services. Identification of the roles and responsibilities of clinical case managers and other professionals also highlights efforts to integrate a client-centered, team based care approach. Some logistics and step-by-step instruction is highlighted at the end of the training. This information is specific to WCC and designed to explain the process for making referrals for clinical case management services and beginning steps in providing those services.
