MelRo, a former foster youth, spent time in 23 foster homes before being emancipated as a teenager and becoming a homeless single mother. She is now the director of Diversity Inclusion Services for Ohio CASA and has become a fierce advocate for children who have lived through trauma and are now in foster care. She has successfully mentored over 200 youth/adults and will share her principles of mentoring with attendees.
