Designed for the Spanish speaking caregiver: Thoughtful discussion, support and training on ways to manage a crisis situation involving a youth’s physical and emotional safety that may require further assessment by professionals (such as police, ER doctors, and therapists). A review of best practice protocols for resource families to be informed about steps to take when assessing without immediate in person support from their Caseworker.  Brief overview of questions to ask themselves and/or youth when assessing.  Also, what it means if a youth is 5150’ed/5250’ed and legal explanation/therapeutic explanation and finally safety planning.
