This introductory training will support service providers in understanding how white privilege operates in different systems of care and how they can take action to divest from white supremacy culture. Participants will learn foundational concepts such as racism as a system of advantage, rather than individual acts. Participants will be able to identify examples of how whiteness, white culture, and/or white values have played a role in their lives and the lives of the youth and families we work with. Participants will create an action plan for an action they can take with them in support of racial justice. Participants will experience the training, have opportunities to practice some of the sections and leave with a supportive coaching plan for training this workshop.
