This training provides an introduction to core skills of trauma-informed arts-based strategies which can be utilized in a variety of settings to support improved outcomes for system-involved youth. This experiential course will introduce attendees to a variety of multi-modal arts-based strategies that can be used in individual and group settings to enhance sensory integration, organize narrative responses, and enhance expression as a healing response to trauma. This experiential training will introduce attendees to a variety of art-based tools that can be used use with foster youth and/or system-involved youth who have acute, long-term, developmental, or attachment-related traumatic histories. Supplies needed: paper, writing pen, color pencils, color crayons, color markers, glue stick, scissors.
