We’ll experience how being outside and making art help people to increase their sense of connection to themselves, others and their environment. We’ll reflect and discuss how these experiences lead to greater care, to taking actions of care, and to a sense that we matter and have the ability to make positive change. We will use drawing to explore our inner and outer environments, and make a group sculpture on the beach. Solo time and small groups will focus on the elements, cycles and transition. We will walk on a flat trail and on a sandy beach. We will be outside for six hours in a breezy location with variable temperatures and sun exposure.
Wear layers, sun protection as needed, and comfortable, sturdy walking shoes. Please plan to arrive on time and stay the full day. Bring a water bottle, snacks and lunch as eating together will be part of the training time.
