Foster Care Training

In this engaging workshop, participants will be introduced to a model entitled “Empathize, Engage, Empower!” which uses a “His Health” lens to facilitate effective and equitable work with African American male youth. These lenses correspond with a recommended approach for service providers. Participants will explore how to become more responsive to the developmental and cultural needs of African American male youth and work towards a greater level of cultural competence and cultural humility while addressing improved outcomes for youth served.
