Traumatic Grief encompasses the complex nature of loss that has occurred via traumatic event, that can result in a more prolonged and debilitating reaction than what has previously been identified as the “normal” grieving timeline. Understanding the unique need of people suffering from Traumatic Loss is critical to help with the recovery process. Helpers must also be aware of the impact of Vicarious Trauma so that they can support their clients while continuing to take care of their own well-being. In this course, we look at the way intersectionality impacts the grief and recovery process.
