Every child who receives special education services must have an IEP (an Individual Education Plan).  The IEP is the name of both the process of determining services, supports and placement for children as well as the document created by the team at the end of this process.  This training reviews the basics of the IEP process and how to support families though the IEP.  The training also explores education as an important civil right, and examines the impact of poverty, race and language on the IEP process.
