Becoming a Resource Parent – Part 2: A RFA Pre-Approval Training

This training provides information and education to assist caregivers in understanding the child abuse reporting laws and reporting responsibilities for caregivers for youth in out-of-home care. Participants will also be engaged in discussion regarding the identification of signs and symptoms of child abuse and neglect in addition to information that will increase caregiver awareness regarding child abuse prevention.

The Seneca foster care pre-approval training series is primarily designed for prospective ISFC (Intensive Services Foster Care) resource parents with the purpose of developing or strengthening the knowledge, understanding and skills essential when caring for traumatized foster youth with intensive needs.
