Foster Care Training

The purpose of this training is to provide clinical professionals with an introduction to the basic principles of Motivational Interviewing (MI) and to have an opportunity to practice some of the key skills involved in this way of working with clients. Emphasis will be on how to utilize MI when providing services to communities of color.Motivational Interviewing (MI) is a way of supporting people to resolve ambivalence in making changes in their lives.
