Foster Care Training

This introductory level workshop is designed for those who are interested in exploring gender as a socially constructed concept. This will include an in depth personal and societal exploration of the problematic nature of the gender binary system. Special attention will be given to the impact this system has on vulnerable populations such as those in foster care who do not identify within this binary. Applicable terms and definition will also be covered. Multiple modalities will be used in teaching this workshop including lecture, self-reflection, small group, and large group discussions.
