Foster Care Training

Practical considerations for preparation, planning and implementation when beginning to invite others to make art to support healing and recovery. This training is offered for those who aren’t sure how to begin using art with children and youth; as well as for those who are already using some art with others but want to increase intentionality and effectiveness when integrating creative process into therapy or other forms of supportive relationships. We will focus on ways of working creatively with children and youth who are involved in foster care. This training will combine experiential art making with case examples, didactic lecture & discussion. Information is grounded in current research in neurobiology, trauma, and art therapy.
